Contract and Operations Manager (Travel Industry)

Mission

The business objective of the Contracts and Operations Manager is to effectively manage tour operations, ensure seamless coordination with suppliers, and provide customers with unforgettable travel experiences.

The manager strives to optimize costs, maintain high standards of service quality, and increase profitability, while complying with occupational health and safety regulations.

In addition, the manager strives to implement principles of sustainable development and expand the company’s range of travel offerings to attract and retain customers, thereby contributing to the overall success and growth of the travel company in the country.

Objectives

1) Supplier Management

Maintain contact with existing and potential suppliers to negotiate contracts, discuss terms, and resolve any issues that arise.

Ensure that new suppliers are connected by preparing all necessary documents and entering into the appropriate agreements.

Evaluating supplier performance: analyzing key metrics and customer feedback, as well as the effectiveness of initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion among suppliers; developing strategies to further promote diversity within the supplier network.

2) Market Research

Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, services, and competitive prices in order to expand the company’s product range.

Conduct ongoing research into industry trends, travel destination offerings, and new opportunities emerging from suppliers.

3) Cost Analysis

Analyze pricing and cost structures to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers and optimize profitability

Analyze supplier costs and work with the finance department to prepare budgets and cost forecasts for upcoming periods.

4) Conclusion, Amendment, and Revision of Contracts

Facilitate the fulfillment of contracts by ensuring that all necessary documentation is available.

Make changes to contracts and, if necessary, negotiate these changes with suppliers to meet changing business needs.

Initiate the signing of new contracts or the renewal of existing contracts with suppliers and negotiate these contracts to secure favorable terms and prices.

Analyze and assess the need for any changes or additions to the contract in order to bring it into line with changing business needs and industry trends.

Analyze and update contract management processes and tools to optimize operations and improve efficiency.

5) Risk Assessment

Assess and mitigate potential risks related to suppliers and contracts.

6) Reporting

Prepare weekly reports on supplier performance, contract progress, and upcoming contract-related activities for review by management.

7) Price Monitoring

Monitor competitive pricing and market trends to identify opportunities for cost optimization and to develop competitive offers.

8) Forecasting and Planning

Collaborate with the finance and operations departments to forecast demand and plan supplier relationships for future periods.

Develop and refine long-term strategic plans for supplier management, with a focus on optimizing services, reducing costs, and improving customer satisfaction.

9) Performance Metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Analyze and refine performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate supplier performance and identify areas for improvement.

Profile

Education

A bachelor’s degree or an associate’s degree in business administration, commerce, tourism, or hospitality management.

Experience

At least 10 years of relevant work experience in product management, the travel industry, or related fields.

Experience working in cross-functional teams.

Experience in implementing technologies and digitizing processes within an organization.
