Legal and Compliance Specialist (Logistics Company)

We are ATSAL, a human resources consulting and recruitment agency operating in Russia, the CIS, and Europe.

Our client is a logistics company founded in 2011 that specializes in sea, rail, and combined sea-rail transportation between China and Russia. The company has over 10 years of experience in transportation between China and Russia.

Missions

Improve relevant procedures for entering into, executing, and resolving disputes under contracts, including assessing risks related to the qualifications, terms, warranties, performance, and contractual remedies of a contracting party, as well as developing proposals for preventive measures;

Compile a collection of standard contracts used by companies and enterprises and develop contract templates for the most common types;

Establish a system for reviewing, reporting on, and evaluating contracts; eliminate and correct deficiencies and loopholes in contracts; and strengthen the system for the centralized storage and archiving of contracts;

Establish a system to monitor contract performance; strengthen the collection, storage, and management of documents related to contracts, invoices, and other supporting evidence;

Assess the legal risks of contracts and assist in the approval and signing of written contracts;

Assist relevant departments in conducting legal assessments of the company’s participation in bids and tenders, and provide legal opinions on relevant projects

Skills

A bachelor’s degree or higher in law, preferably in maritime law; fluency in English and Russian or Chinese and Russian;

Preference will be given to candidates who hold a certificate of professional qualification as a lawyer or a certificate of qualification as an attorney;

Preference is given to candidates with experience in legal work at companies with Russian capital;

Experience in legal work at companies involved in the Internet and e-commerce is preferred;

Have a positive attitude toward work, patience, and a sense of responsibility, as well as well-developed skills in analyzing, reviewing, and resolving legal issues.

Requirements

Higher Education

At least 3 years of sales experience

Knowledge of English is required

Knowledge of other languages (preferred)

Work experience at a foreign company (preferred)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of CRM systems
